Site Selection:
- Lift Location: Requires a 220V, 30 amp, single-phase, grounded electrical source. Ensure enough space is available for safe operation and unrestricted movement.
- Overhead Area: Ensure the area is free of obstructions like heaters, electrical lines, doors, and lights.
- Floor Area: Inspect the installation site for cracked or defective concrete.
Floor Requirements:
- A level floor is recommended for proper installation and level lifting. Small differences in slope may be adjusted with shimming.
- If the floor slope is questionable, consider surveying the site or pouring a new concrete slab.
- New concrete must cure for at least 30 days before installation.
- Do not install on asphalt, expansion seams, or cracked/defective concrete.
- Do not install on a second/elevated floor without consulting a building architect.
- Do not install outdoors unless the power unit is protected from inclement weather.
Concrete Specifications:
- Must be installed on 3,000 PSI reinforced concrete.
- 3,500 PSI with a minimum 4″ thickness is required for optimal installation.
